Placement on the Salary Schedule. 1. Members newly hired during the term of this Agreement may be given full credit for up to nine (9) years' previous licensed/teaching experience. In unusual circumstances, the Superintendent may grant additional credit. Relevant experience other than preschool, elementary, or secondary teaching may be counted if, in the judgment of the Superintendent, it is directly related to the assignment of the member. In defined hard to fill positions, the Superintendent may grant an additional six (6) years for documented, relevant experience. 2. To be eligible to move horizontally from column to column on the salary schedule, course work must meet the following requirement and be approved by the supervisor and Chief Human Resources Officer in advance of registration: a. Graduate level college credit courses directly related to the teaching/professional (School Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, etc.)
