Point of Care Risk Assessment. Before each resident interaction, the Nurse shall complete a ‘Point of Care Risk Assessment’ (PCRA) to determine the risk of exposure and appropriate Routine Practices and Additional Precautions required for safe care. A PCRA should be performed even if the patient has been placed on Additional Precautions as additional PPE may be required. Protective devices and other equipment necessary to protect Nurses from injury or health hazards shall be provided by the Employer and Nurses shall be required to use them. This may include but is not limited to gloves, mask, face protection, gowns, and respiratory protection.
