Pre-Retirement Death Continuation of Benefits. Government Code section 19849.15 – notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State employer shall, upon the death of an employee while in State service, continue to pay employer contributions for health, dental and vision benefits for a period not to exceed one hundred-twenty (120) days beginning in the month of the employee’s death. The surviving spouse, domestic partner or other eligible family member, if any, shall be advised of all rights and obligations during this period regarding the continuation of health and dental benefits as an annuitant by the California Public EmployeesRetirement System. The surviving spouse, domestic partner or other eligible family member shall also be notified by the department during this period regarding COBRA rights for the continuation of vision benefits. This section shall apply to represented State employees in bargaining units that have agreed to this provision.

  • Termination of Benefits Except as provided in Section 2 above or as may be required by law, Executive’s participation in all employee benefit (pension and welfare) and compensation plans of the Company shall cease as of the Termination Date. Nothing contained herein shall limit or otherwise impair Executive’s right to receive pension or similar benefit payments that are vested as of the Termination Date under any applicable tax-qualified pension or other plans, pursuant to the terms of the applicable plan.

  • Termination and Post-Termination Continuation of Services If either Party provides Notice of Termination pursuant to Section 6.3 and, by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the stated date of termination, neither Party has requested negotiation of a new Interconnection agreement, then (a) this Agreement will terminate at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the termination date identified in the Notice of Termination, and (b) the services and functions being provided by CenturyLink under this Agreement at the time of termination, including Interconnection arrangements and the exchange of Local Traffic, may be terminated by CenturyLink unless the Parties jointly agree to other continuing arrangements.
