Preceptor. A preceptor is an experienced employee proficient in clinical teaching and communication skills who is assigned specific responsibility for planning, organizing and evaluating the new skill development of a new employee who has been placed in a defined preceptor program, the parameters of which have been set forth in writing by the Employer. A preceptor may be assigned to a student when it is determined to be appropriate by the Employer. Volunteers will be sought first.
