Professional Assistants. Professional Assistants not assigned to work in the center-based Special Education program will submit a work schedule based on their caseloads to the Director of Special Education for approval. The schedule will, at a minimum, provide for the requisite number of workdays and workhours in accordance with this Agreement. Reasonable planning, travel, assessment, and meeting time will be included in the schedule.

Professional Assistants. Effective September 1, 1994 the Professional Assistant (PA) position shall be substituted for the Technical Assistant and Senior Technical Assistant positions. PAs are members of the faculty who provide academic support services in various capacities. With this contract, three (3) PA ranks are established, ranging from P1 to P3, based on the complexity of their responsibilities. For full-time personnel currently employed at the College initial ranks and categories are specified in a side letter to this Agreement. A PA Classification Committee, consisting of equal representation from the College and the Association, shall be established to review new and existing placements within the scope of this scheme, including placement of adjunct PAs and make recommendations to the President of the College; Adjunct PA compensation shall be based upon the P classification of the function being performed. An individual's compensation thus may vary from assignment to assignment. P1 positions have the potential to achieve the rank of P2, as outlined in Article VII (E) (1) of this Agreement.
Professional Assistants. Effective 9/1/94 all existing Technical Assistants and Senior Technical Assistants in the Guild shall be converted to Professional Assistant titles in accordance with Guidelines to be established between the College and the Guild. Such guidelines will be consistent with the principles and guidelines included in the Faculty Association Agreement regarding Professional Assistants.

  • Educational Assistants Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

  • Educational Assistance To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must be a regular employee upon enrollment. To be approved, the courses described below must be related to the employee's present position or career development:

  • EDUCATION ASSISTANTS 1. All Education Assistants employed by the Board to assist teachers in carrying out their responsibilities and duties under the School Act and Regulations shall be assigned to classes and/or students by the Principal and shall be assigned specific duties by the teacher during the designated periods of time.

  • Legal Assistance The Board shall give full support including legal and other assistance for any assault upon the employee while properly acting in the discharge of his/her duties.

  • Teaching Assistants 1. All Teaching Assistants shall receive the same remuneration per base unit and the difference between the amount paid a Graduate Teaching Assistant and other Teaching Assistants is an associated scholarship. See XIII D. for appropriate compensation.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the following organizations: Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and any other membership dues requested by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • PROFESSIONAL AUTONOMY 1. Within the bounds of the prescribed curriculum, and consistent with effective educational methodology and practice, and within established District and/or school goals and objectives, teachers shall have individual professional autonomy in determining the methods of instruction and the planning and presentation of course materials in the classes to which they are assigned.
