Assistants. Any Assistant Secretary or Assistant Treasurer, respectively, may exercise any of the powers of Secretary or Treasurer, respectively, as provided in this Agreement or as directed by the Board, and shall perform such other duties as are imposed upon them by this Agreement or the Board.
Assistants. Independent Contractor, at Independent Contractor’s sole expense, may employ assistants as Independent Contractor deems appropriate to perform the Services. Independent Contractor shall be responsible for paying these assistants and expenses attributable to them, including income, Social Security, Medicare taxes and unemployment contributions. Independent Contractor shall maintain Worker’s Compensation Insurance for all his employees in connection with their work on the Services.
Assistants. Full responsibility for supervising a paid assistant shall be compensated at the rate of two (2) points per assistant. Partial responsibility for supervision shall be compensated at the rate of one (1) point per assistant.
Assistants. 1. Includes all bargaining unit members who are employed as Multi- handicapped Assistants, Special Needs Assistants, Library Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Pre-Kindergarten Assistants, Study Hall Monitors and Recess/Playground Personnel.
2. Assistant Personnel, Study Hall Monitors and Library Aides required to supervise additional students or classes that total twenty-five (25) students or more shall be paid their hourly rate for any class period when such an excess occurs. Such hourly rate is in addition to their per diem rate. Additionally, Study Hall Monitors and Library Aides who are asked to supervise students in more than one room at the same time shall be paid their hourly rate for any class period when such an excess occurs in addition to their daily rate. Study Hall Monitors and Library Aides shall not qualify for such excess if additional aides or teachers are assigned to assist with these periods.

Assistants. At the beginning of the school year an assistant may request a change in route assignment. Special Needs routes assignments for special needs assistant shall be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Attendance at training sessions may be required. If such training is required, it shall be paid for by the Board.

Assistants. 19.1.1 Assistants for purposes of this section mean instructional assistants, teacher assistants, clerical assistants and volunteer assistants.
19.1.1.1 Teachers shall be involved in the initial employment or selection of assistants assigned to his/her classroom.
19.1.1.2 An assistant shall perform only such duties as, in the judgment of the certificated personnel to whom the assistant is assigned, may be performed by a person not licensed as a classroom teacher. These duties shall not include assignment of grades to pupils. An assistant need not perform such duties in the physical presence of the teacher, but the teacher shall retain his/her responsibility for the instruction and supervision of the pupils in his/her charge. In no case will a teacher be required to supervise assistants in more than one (1) additional classroom other than his/her own.
19.1.1.3 The District shall supply all pertinent background data upon request (e.g., interests, talents, education) of an instructional assistant, teacher assistant or voluntary assistant to the teacher who is being asked to supervise such assistant.
19.1.1.4 A teacher shall be consulted in the evaluation of an assistant who is assigned to his/her classroom.
19.1.1.5 A supervising teacher shall not be required to perform additional assignments outside the classroom while he/she is supervising an assistant, except in 19.1.1.2 above.
19.1.2 Nothing contained in this Article shall prevent the Board from hiring non-bargaining unit personnel to perform the following non-teacher duties: Lunch supervision, ground duty, collection of student monies, mail distribution, bus duty, maintaining student attendance records.
19.1.3 An effort will be made to secure a replacement for an assistant who is absent.
Assistants. Bus Assistants will select routine duty in seniority order. The selection of routine duties will follow the selection of routine duties by the school bus operators on the same day. Qualified bus assistants will select field trips based on seniority and availability.
Assistants. Organizer/Promoter shall make Event credentials available to CART for those persons assisting CART Officials. These credentials shall be the same type of credentials as those issued by Organizer/Promoter to others assisting in the production of the Event and will permit access to the facility and restricted areas including the pit areas at all times during any CART Event. At specified events, a limited number of special credentials will be issued to allow only necessary and appropriate personnel access to the pit area thirty (30) minutes prior to and during the CART race.
