PROFESSIONAL ORDERS. An employee shall be free to join or not join a professional order except in cases where the right of practice is contingent on membership in such an order.
PROFESSIONAL ORDERS. 16.01 The employee is free to belong to a professional order, except if, in the course of her or his duties, she or he is required to perform acts for which membership in a professional order is required by law, or if membership is required by the List of Job Titles of the National Provisions. 16.02 Notwithstanding the previous clause, in the case of job titles for which a bachelor’s degree is required, the employee hired after the date of signing of this Collective Agreement must maintain her or his membership in the professional order for two (2) years following the date of hire. 16.03 The Union undertakes to encourage its members, not required to be members of a professional order, to seek membership. 16.04 The Employer shall accommodate, whenever possible, all employees in its employ, on the date of signing of this Collective Agreement, not able to meet the requirements for membership in their professional order.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Professional Organizations During the Term, Executive shall be reimbursed by the Company for the annual dues payable for membership in professional societies associated with subject matter related to the Company's interests. New memberships for which reimbursement will be sought shall be approved by the Company in advance.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations, and directions adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, provided that a teacher may reasonably refuse to carry out an order which threatens physical safety or well being or is professionally demeaning.

  • Professional Rights A Pharmacist in his professional judgment may delay or refuse to fill or refill any prescription if there is reason to believe that such action would protect the health of the patient or where reasonable doubt exists as to the legality of said prescription or the legal use thereof, after first having established the fact by having consulted the prescriber if said prescriber is available.

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent/Principal shall be encouraged to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, and national levels. Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. The Superintendent/Principal’s attendance at professional meetings at the national level must have prior approval of the Board.

  • Professional Day The period set forth in the Professional Day Article.

  • Professional Improvement Leave A teacher may be granted leave to be used for the teacher's professional improvement. Professional improvement days may be approved by the superintendent and used for the purpose of: 1. Visitation to view other instructional techniques or programs. 2. Conferences, workshops, or seminars conducted by colleges, universities, or vocational schools. The teacher planning to use a professional improvement day shall notify the principal at least one week in advance of the proposed absence. The teacher shall be required to file a written report with the principal within one (1) week of attendance at such event. Also, the teacher may/shall be requested to return with materials and/or information to be shared with other teachers. The expense of attending such visitation, conference, workshop, or seminar will be paid by the Board when the proper reimbursement applications are sent to the district office. In cases where attendance at a convention, workshop, seminar, or other educational activity is deemed to be of value only to the individual teacher, leave may be granted for attendance with either no expenses or limited expenses being underwritten by the district. In these cases, no written or verbal reports will be required.

  • Competent Authorities The Parties shall inform each other about the structure, organisation and division of competences of their competent authorities during the first meeting of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Sub-Committee referred to in Article 65 of this Agreement ("SPS Sub-Committee"). The Parties shall inform each other of any change of the structure, organisation and division of competences, including of the contact points, concerning such competent authorities.

  • Professional Development and Training The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.
