Progressive Engagement Clause Samples

The Progressive Engagement clause establishes a structured, step-by-step approach to resolving disputes or issues that arise during the course of a contract. Typically, it requires the parties to first attempt resolution at an operational or lower management level, escalating the matter to higher management or formal dispute resolution only if initial efforts fail. This process ensures that problems are addressed efficiently and at the appropriate level, often preventing unnecessary escalation and fostering collaboration, thereby saving time and resources for both parties.
Progressive Engagement. Progressive Engagement is a flexible, targeted and efficient approach to service delivery. Progressive Engagement recognizes each CLIENT(s) strengths and needs can change over time, targeting resources to meet those needs and ensuring that the most intensive resources remain available to those with the greatest needs.
Progressive Engagement. Defined by the US Interagency Council on Homelessness as a case management strategy of offering a small amount of assistance initially, and adding more assistance as needed, to assist each household reach stability. This strategy uses the lightest touch possible for each household to be successful, knowing more assistance can be added later if needed. Assessment is critical to this strategy, but for the purpose of identifying a household’s strengths and barriers, not to determine the amount of assistance they will ultimately need.
Progressive Engagement. An approach to helping Clients end their homelessness as rapidly as possible, despite barriers, with minimal financial and support resources. Assistance is provided on an “as-needed basis” to keep a participant housed and, within funding constraints, programs offer more intensive support, additional rental assistance, or step-up referrals and help to access community- based assistance.
Progressive Engagement. A service delivery approach and homeless system orientation that entails: individualized services that are responsive to the needs of each household; an initial assessment and services address the immediate housing crisis with the minimal services needed; frequent re-assessment determines the need for additional services; services that are Voluntary and build on the strengths and resources of each household; households exited to permanent housing as soon as possible; and the ability to access assistance if a household faces homelessness again.
