Common use of Project Employee Clause in Contracts

Project Employee. A project employee is one who is hired to perform a particular task or duty and who work less than 1,050 hours in any twelve (12) consecutive calendar month period. Examples of tasks performed by such employees include, but are not limited to, the temporary replacement of classified employees on extended leave. Such employees are not part of the bargaining unit to which this Agreement applies and may be released without recourse at any time.

Such employees are not considered “regular” employees, are not part of the bargaining unit to which this Agreement applies and may be released without recourse at any time.
