Trial Periods Where you take a product or service on a trial basis for a reduced or zero charge for a fixed period, unless otherwise advised to you in writing, you need to give us notice in writing if you wish to cancel the product or service at the end of the trial. If you fail to give us notice then we will automatically invoice you for the product or service at the end of the trial for the remainder of the agreed contract term.
Vacation Earnings for Partial Years (1) During the first partial year of service a new employee will earn vacation at the rate of three and two-thirds (32/3) days for each month for which the employee earns ten (10) days pay. (2) Subject to Clause 17.8, any unused vacation earned during the first (1st) partial year will be paid to the employee at December 31st of that year. (b) During the first (1st) and subsequent vacation years an employee will earn one-twelfth (1/12) of the annual entitlement for each month in which the employee has received at least ten (10) days' pay at straight-time rates. Where an employee has taken more vacation than earned, the unearned portion taken shall be charged against future earned credits or recovered upon termination whichever occurs first.
Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.
Trial Period E. 10.1 In order for an adequate assessment of the Employee’s capacity to be made, the Employer may employ a person under the provisions of this schedule for a trial period not exceeding 12 weeks, except that in some cases additional work adjustment time (not exceeding four weeks) may be needed.
Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.
Notice Periods The notice period (expressed in Working Days) to be given by the Customer in respect of Clause 38.1 shall be the number of whole days that is 20% of the total duration of the final SOW to be executed under this Contract, up to a maximum of 30 Working Days. Partial days shall be discounted in the calculation and the duration of the SOW shall be calculated in Working Days. For example, if the duration of the SOW is 10 Working Days: 20% of the SOW is 2 days. The Notice Period = 2 Working Days; or if the duration of the SOW is 62 Working Days, 20% of the SOW is 12.
Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted, duty-free lunch period after the employee has been on duty for five (5) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for no less than one-half (½) hour, and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at about the midpoint of each work shift. Such times shall be mutually agreed upon between employees and their immediate supervisor.
Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.
Review Periods Owner shall have up to ten (10) Business Days from its receipt of the documents listed in Sections 1.3 and 1.4 above, to issue to Contractor written comments on such documents, Drawings and Specifications. The Owner’s approval rights only apply to documents listed in Section 1.3. If comments are not received for items listed in Section 1.3 in ten (10) Business Days, the Contractor may proceed with the development of the Drawings and Specifications with the design reflected in the uncommented document. Owner will annotate the Drawings and Specifications as appropriate and return to Contractor. In the event that Owner disapproves the Drawings or Specifications, Owner shall provide Contractor with a written statement of the reasons for such rejection within the time period required for Owner’s response, and Contractor shall provide Owner with agreed to revised and corrected Drawings and Specifications as soon as possible thereafter.
Retention periods Documentation which serves as evidence of orderly and proper data processing must be retained by ATOSS in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods beyond the end of the contract. To relieve itself of this obligation, ATOSS may turn said documentation over to the Customer at the end of the contract.
