Common use of Protective Clothing & Equipment Clause in Contracts

Protective Clothing & Equipment. While not being part of any issue of protective clothing/equipment, the company shall be required to provide the following protective equipment (SEA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties: (a) safety helmets (b) ear/hearing protection (c) riggers gloves (d) skin protective cream/sun screen (15+ rating) (e) a broad brim or other agreed suitable sun protective hat (f) a pair of 100% UV-rated safety glasses or UV rated clipons suitable to overlay prescription spectacles (both must be to Australian Standards quality) Wherever possible, protective clothing/equipment shall be Australian made
