Provisions of the Military and Veterans Code of the State of California, Sections 395-395.5 shall govern military leave. In general, current law provides that an employee having one (1) year or more service with a public entity is entitled to military leave with pay not exceeding thirty (30) days per year if the employee is engaged in military duty ordered for purposes of active military training or encampment. An employee who is required to attend scheduled service drill periods or perform other inactive duty reserve obligations is entitled to military leave without pay, not exceeding seventeen (17) calendar days per year, although the employee may, at his or her option, elect to use accrued leave time to attend the scheduled reserve drill periods or to perform other inactive drill period obligations. Employees who participate in weekend military drill duty are not eligible for leave with pay for such activity, but may have their regular work schedule changed to accommodate the required time off.

  • GENERAL CIVIL RIGHTS PROVISIONS The Contractor agrees to comply with pertinent statutes, Executive Orders and such rules as are promulgated to ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participating in any activity conducted with or benefiting from Federal assistance. This provision binds the Contractor and subcontractors from the bid solicitation period through the completion of the contract.   • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • State of California Public Liability and Workers’ Compensation Program A. The Judicial Council has elected to be self-insured for its motor vehicle, aircraft liability and general liability exposures.

  • Professional Leaves 1. Professional Leaves are to be used by an employee to gain knowledge for the position contracted through Bath Local Schools. The employee must request Professional Leave through the employee kiosk. Upon approval, the employee may be permitted to attend the Professional Meeting and will be paid at the regular rate.

  • General Leave Provisions 21.1.1 Except where explicitly noted in Article 00 Xxxxx Xxxxx, the Employer may implement, modify, or eliminate the leaves of absence as outlined in this Article and consistent with all state and federal leave requirements. The Employer reserves the right to modify its Leave of Absence policies. The Employer will inform the Union of any material and substantial changes in its Leave of Absence policies prior to implementation.
