The Psychological Evaluation Services clause defines the terms under which psychological assessments or evaluations are provided within an agreement. It typically outlines the scope of services, such as the types of evaluations to be conducted, the qualifications of the professionals involved, and the procedures for scheduling and reporting results. This clause ensures that both parties understand the expectations and standards for psychological evaluations, thereby promoting clarity and reducing the risk of disputes regarding the nature or quality of these services.
Psychological Evaluation Services. An examination by a licensed psychologist using a psychological testing, review of history, clinical interviews, behavioral symptoms and observations for the purpose of determining the child’s current psychological and neurological functioning to assist the evaluator in providing relevant and sound options in matters where the child’s health and welfare may have been harmed.
Psychological Evaluation Services. Psychological testing typically begins with an initial interview with a psychologist to gather relevant information to determine the appropriate testing battery. The length of testing may vary, however, typically 3-4 hour sessions are reserved. Reports are typically completed within 4 weeks after the final testing session. If you require a more rapid turnaround, please address these concerns in your initial interview session. Once the report is completed, our office will contact you to set up a final appointment with the psychologist to go over the results and recommendations. You will be given one copy of the report and one will be on file in your records should you ever have questions in the future.

A comprehensive psychological evaluation can assess cognitive, learning, and/or psychological functioning in order to identify related strengths and weaknesses and provide recommendations about how to enhance your success in many aspects of life. In my scope of practice, psychological evaluations are conducted to: • Clarify psychological diagnoses and level of functioning • Identify cognitive and emotional strengths and challenges • Assess factors afecting ability to learn and barriers to learning • Assess factors afecting gainful employment and barriers to employment • Evaluate need for support, auxiliary aids, and accommodations in postsecondary education and/or in the workplace • Update documentation for academic accommodations in higher education • Provide supporting documentation for SSI/SSDI claims • Clarify treatment, education, or case management plans and recommendations If you have been referred for the evaluation by another person or agency, I will ask for your permission to send the report to that person/agency, so that they may use these results in assisting you to the best of their ability. You have the right to refuse to let me send the evaluation to them; however, in some circumstances, I may not be able to provide the evaluation services if I cannot share the results.
