Purpose of this Grant Agreement; Funding Source. The purpose of this Grant Agreement is to enable the State to award a Grant of $ (the “Grant”) to the Grantee for eligible costs of the services or project (the “Project”) described in Exhibits A and B of this Grant Agreement, which are incorporated fully herein. The funds shall be used exclusively in accordance with the provisions contained in this Grant Agreement and in conformance with Indiana Code § establishing the authority to make this Grant, as well as any rules adopted thereunder. The funds received by the Grantee pursuant to this Grant Agreement shall be used only to implement the Project or provide the services in conformance with this Grant Agreement and for no other purpose.

Purpose of this Grant Agreement; Funding Source. The State has been designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) as the Recipient to receive, administer, and disburse Emergency Management Performance Grant Program (“EMPG”) funds to local governments for preparing for all hazards, as authorized by Section 662 of the Post Xxxxxxx Emergency Management Reform Act (6 USC § 762) and the Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxxxx Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 USC § 5121 et seq.), by providing a system of emergency preparedness for the protection of life and property in the United States from all hazards and to vest responsibility for emergency preparedness jointly in the Federal Government, states, and their political subdivisions. The purpose of this Grant Agreement is to enable the State, pursuant to its authority under IC § 10-19-3-3, to make a subaward to the Subrecipient for the allowable costs/budget of this project (the “Project”) and for the allowable project goals as described in the Subrecipient’s grant application (“Grant Application”), of this Grant Agreement, both of which are electronically filed and saved online using the State’s grant management system and identified by Subrecipient, project number and grant program and year. The Project and Grant Application are fully incorporated into this Grant Agreement by reference. The funds received by the Subrecipient shall be used exclusively in accordance with the provisions contained in this Grant Agreement. The funds received by the Subrecipient pursuant to this Grant Agreement shall be used only to implement the Project or provide the services in conformance with this Grant Agreement and for no other purpose.
