Quality Management System of the Supplier. (1) The Supplier is to maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) that fulfills at least the requirements of ISO 9001. The Supplier is to provide the corresponding proof through a certification procedure with an accredited certification company according to ISO 9001 and by presenting the certificate. The Supplier is to further develop his Quality Management System in such a way that it satisfies the requirements of IATF 16949.
Quality Management System of the Supplier. (1) The Supplier is to further develop his existing Quality Management System (at least ISO 9001) applying the process-oriented approach with the objective of meeting the requirements of the automotive rules and regulations of the VDA (Association of the German Automotive Industry) Volume 6 Part 4 (VDA 6.4) or IATF 16949 and achieving a constant improvement of his products and processes.
Quality Management System of the Supplier. XY is obliged to permanently apply an appropriate quality management system, corresponding to the guidelines of the automobile industry, which must be proven, through a valid certificate, to be in accordance with IATF 16949 in the currently valid version. If XY may not be certified according to IATF 16949, then XY is obliged to maintain a management system in accordance with the currently valid version of DIN EN ISO 9001 and, in agreement with BPW, to nevertheless meet the specific requirements contained in IATF 16949 or the reference manuals of the Automotive Industry Action Group (hereinafter referred to as ʺAIAGʺ). In order that BPW may verify this obligation, an appropriate work plan is to be set up by XY, listing the measures being taken to meet the requirements. However, the objective in terms of XY shall be the alignment and demonstration of the quality management system in accordance with IATF 16949. BPW shall perform a potential analysis or system audit according to VDA Volume 6, insofar as a business relationship between XY and BPW has been established, but XY has not yet received certification for its quality management system. Quality Management System of the Supplier. The SUPPLIER shall establish, maintain, and enhance, as a minimum, a quality management system in accordance with the international DIN EN ISO 9001 standard. Moreover, the SUPPLIER agrees to seek to obtain additional certifications as necessary (for example ISO TS/16949, etc.).

The SUPPLIER undertakes to continue developing the QM system in future to obtain certification to ISO/TS 16949. Environmental protection has a high priority in our company. We also require our suppliers to comply with relevant laws and regulations. The suppliers having certification to EN ISO 14001 are prioritized in awarding contracts. In order to document its QM system, any SUPPLIER shall submit copies of valid certificates to S & G without being asked to do so. The supplier commits himself to permanently apply an effective quality management system that is based on the current revision of ISO 9001 in accordance with its structure and company size. This international standard is to be regarded as the basis for the QM system requirements, which may have to be supplemented by industry and customer-specific standards depending on the type of products, processes or services ordered. The improvement measures that may be defined are laid down in writing. The implementation of the improvements necessary for supplier approval is monitored by the Buyer. If the supplier loses his approval or his QMS certificate, the Buyer must be informed in writing without delay, but no later than three working days after the loss becomes known. The supplier is obliged to comply with his national legal provisions regarding environmental protection, energy use and occupational safety. Workplaces and processes must be designed in such a way that negative effects on people and products are excluded. In addition, the Buyer recommends the supplier to implement appropriate management systems: information security/ environmental/ energy/ occupational safety and health management system.

For the duration of business relations with BUFAB, the supplier must be able to attest a valid certification according to DIN EN ISO9001 in the current edition. The certification process must have been carried out by an accredited certification body. The obtained certificates and renewed certificates must be sent automatically to BUFAB's eMail-address.
