Recall Period and Benefits. Notice of recall to an employee who has been laid-off will be made by registered mail to the Union with a copy to the employee. The employee must respond to such notice within ten (10) working days of receiving it or possibly lose rights of seniority and recall; however, an employee who is prevented from responding to a recall notice because of illness or other reason beyond the employee's control will not lose such rights thereby. All layoffs and recall will be done strictly in accordance with the principles set forth in 10.01 (a), and the following recall rights and benefits will apply: i) less than five (5) years a permanent employee with less than five (5) years of continuous service that is laid-off will be placed on the recall list for a period of one (1) year. In addition, the Employer will maintain all Health and Welfare Plan benefits for nine (9) months of the layoff. The employee may choose, at any time within three (3) months of being placed on the recall list, to elect for termination and receive severance pay, pursuant to Article 10.06 (a). ii) greater than five (5) years any permanent employee with five (5) years or more of continuous service who is laid-off will be placed on the recall list for a period of two (2) years. In addition, the Employer will maintain all Health and Welfare Plan benefits for eighteen (18) months of the lay-off. The employee may choose, at any time within three (3) months of being placed on the recall list, to elect for termination and receive severance pay, pursuant to Article 10.06 (b).

  • Vacation and Benefits The Executive is entitled to four (4) weeks of vacation, which will accrue on a pro-rata basis during the employment year, in addition to all public holidays when the office is closed. Executive will be eligible to participate in all employee benefit plans established by the Company for its employees from time to time, subject to general eligibility and participation provisions set forth in such plans. In accordance with Company policies from time to time and subject to proper documentation, the Company will reimburse you for all reasonable and proper travel and business expenses incurred by you in the performance of your duties.
