Recall Provisions. A non-grant status faculty member affected by reassignment, transfer, or retrenchment shall have recall rights within his/her district-wide program or discipline for thirty-six (36) months and shall be recalled in inverse order of being reassigned, transferred, or retrenched provided he/she is qualified to perform the assignment to which he/she is being recalled. 1. Nothing in this Section shall preclude the College from offering a retrenched faculty member another position at the College for which the College determines he/she is qualified. In such a case, the provisions of Article 11 would not apply. 2. The College will consider the recall and reassignment or transfer to vacant positions which become available in the bargaining unit during the recall period. The training requirements and guidelines in Article 7.E could also apply to this situation. 3. Qualifications for recall shall be no more than what would normally be required of new hires. 4. Notice of recall shall be sent by certified mail to the most recent mailing address provided by the faculty member to the College. 5. A faculty member declining recall to a position of the same or greater salary as the position which he/she originally had shall forfeit further recall rights. 6. If a faculty member accepts a temporary position at the College that expires during the initial thirty-six (36) month recall period, regardless of the FTE or the time period, then the recall period shall be extended by the same number of months or portion of a month the faculty member held the temporary position. A recall at the same percentage (FTE) level and salary as the original position constitutes a return to the faculty member’s original status.

A non-grant status faculty member general fund employee affected by reassignment, transfer, or retrenchment shall have recall rights within his/her district-wide program or discipline an affected unit for thirty-six thirty (3630) months and shall be recalled in inverse order of being reassigned, transferred, or retrenched provided he/she is qualified to perform the assignment to which he/she is being recalled.
1. Nothing in this Section shall preclude the College from offering a retrenched faculty member employee another position at the College for which the College determines he/she is qualified. In such a case, the provisions of Article 11 XI would not apply.
2. The Upon the member’s application, the College will consider the recall and reassignment or transfer to vacant positions which become available in the bargaining unit during the recall period. The training requirements and guidelines in Section D of this Article 7.E could also apply to this situation.
3. Qualifications for recall shall be no more than what would normally be required of new hires.
4. Notice of recall shall be sent by certified mail to the most recent mailing address provided by the faculty member employee to the College.
5. A faculty member An employee declining recall to a position of the same or greater salary as the position which he/she originally had shall forfeit further recall rights. A faculty member, who accepts a position of less FTE and/or salary enjoyed prior to layoff, shall retain all recall rights from the time of original layoff.
6. If a faculty member accepts a temporary position An accepted assignment at the College that any percentage level and for any time period which then expires during the initial thirty-six thirty (3630) month recall period, regardless of the FTE or the time period, then period shall extend the recall period shall period. The extension will be extended by at the same number percentage level and the same time period as the accepted assignment provided that:
a. There is a maximum of months two funding sources or portion tracks i.e., initial funding source or track and recall funding source or track.
b. There is a maximum of two (2) additional years of recall for a month the faculty member held the temporary total maximum of four (4) years of recall.
7. Unless called to a grant funded position. A , a recall at the same percentage (FTE) level and salary in the same funding source as the original position constitutes a return to the faculty memberemployee’s original status.
