Reimbursement for Damaged or Stolen Items. Upon submission of a written request for replacement, reimbursement or repair to the Chief, the City shall reasonably reimburse any Officer for the replacement value or repair for any professional or personal equipment item that is dam- aged, destroyed or stolen due to an Officer’s negligence or failure to adhere to Departmental pol- icy, nor to any personal item, except clothing, not work in the interest of the Department. The Chief shall make the final determination as to what is reasonable.

Reimbursement for Damaged or Stolen Items. Upon approval of the County Administrative Officer, and in accordance with the provisions of Section 53240 of the Government Code of California, employees may be paid the cost of replacing or repairing clothing or prostheses or other personal property of an employee, such as eyeglasses, hearing aides, dentures, watches, or articles of clothing necessarily worn or carried by the employee or required by the nature of his/her duties, when such items are damaged or destroyed in the line of duty without fault of the employee or stolen from County facilities. If items are damaged beyond repair, the actual value of such may be paid. The value of such items shall be determined as of the time of damage thereto. The County Administrative Officer shall establish the procedure to be followed by employees in submitting claims for damaged or destroyed items. No claims shall be authorized for repair or replacement of items of personal property used on County business unless they are listed on an inventory of such items which has received department head certification that said items are necessary for the conduct of County business.

  • REIMBURSEMENT FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE In the event that an employee, required or authorized by his/her Agency/Department Head to use a private automobile on County business, while so using the automobile, should incur property damage to the employee's automobile through no negligence of the employee, and the employee is unable to recover the cost of such property damage from either his/her own insurance company or from any other driver, or other source, such costs shall be paid to such employee of the County, in a sum not exceeding $500, provided that any claims the employee may have against his/her insurance company or any third party have been litigated or settled, and provided further, that the employee is not found guilty of a violation of the California Vehicle Code or Penal Code in connection with the accident causing such damage. Employees shall submit proof of loss, damage or theft (i.e., appropriate police report and/or estimated statement of loss) to the Agency/Department Head within 30 days of such loss, damage or theft. Property damage or loss incurred to the private automobile while located on the street or at the parking facility serving the employee’s normal place of work shall not be compensated under this section, but property damage or loss incurred to the private automobile while located on the street or at the parking facility serving the employee’s County business destination shall be compensated as provided above.

  • Reimbursement of Travel Expenses If the Servicer provides access to the Review Materials at one of its properties, the Issuer will reimburse the Asset Representations Reviewer for its reasonable travel expenses incurred in connection with the Review on receipt of a detailed invoice.

The use of this coverage requires an explanation of where and when the Accidental Damage occurred as well as a detailed description of the actual event. If needed, the replacement value of the Covered Product will be solely determined by the Administrator of this Agreement.

  • Independent Contractor; Payment of Taxes and Other Expenses a. Independent Contractor. Contractor or any agent or employee of Contractor shall be deemed at all times to be an independent contractor and is wholly responsible for the manner in which it performs the services and work requested by City under this Agreement. Contractor or any agent or employee of Contractor shall not have employee status with City, nor be entitled to participate in any plans, arrangements, or distributions by City pertaining to or in connection with any retirement, health or other benefits that City may offer its employees. Contractor or any agent or employee of Contractor is liable for the acts and omissions of itself, its employees and its agents. Contractor shall be responsible for all obligations and payments, whether imposed by federal, state or local law, including, but not limited to, FICA, income tax withholdings, unemployment compensation, insurance, and other similar responsibilities related to Contractor’s performing services and work, or any agent or employee of Contractor providing same. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as creating an employment or agency relationship between City and Contractor or any agent or employee of Contractor. Any terms in this Agreement referring to direction from City shall be construed as providing for direction as to policy and the result of Contractor’s work only, and not as to the means by which such a result is obtained. City does not retain the right to control the means or the method by which Contractor performs work under this Agreement.

  • Reimbursable Expenses; Maximum Total Payment; Invoicing District will make no payment until this Contract is fully executed by the authorized representatives of both parties.
