Common use of Reinstatement of Vacation Credits Clause in Contracts

Reinstatement of Vacation Credits. ‌ Where an employee qualifies for sick leave, bereavement, or any other approved leave during their period of vacation, there will be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced will either be added to the vacation period or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee’s option. In the case of sick leave, this clause will only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two days. A note from a qualified medical practitioner may be required.
