REMUNERATION DURING RECREATION LEAVE. Whilst absent on a period of recreation leave, an employee is entitled to be remunerated at the rate of their normal salary (refer to Glossary for definition of “normal salary”) they would have received whilst working, together with the following allowances: • Whyalla cost of living allowance; locality allowance, but the locality allowance is not to be included in the remuneration upon which the • qualification, proficiency and skill allowances (including first aid allowance) but is not to be included in the remuneration upon which the recreation leave loading is calculated; • recreation leave loading is calculated; • additional duties allowances if it is intended that the additional duties will continue to be performed when the employee returns from recreation leave; or • other allowances if specific approval has been given for payment during recreation leave. Before commencing recreation leave, an employee may request to be paid their normal salary (together with allowances as outlined above) that would otherwise have been paid to them on paydays occurring during the leave.

  • Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.

  • Vacation Leave 11.1 Employees will retain and carry forward any eligible and unused vacation leave that was accrued prior to the effective date of this Agreement.

  • Benefits During Leave Employees are encouraged to contact the Employer’s Benefits Office (phone # 000-000-0000, xxxxxxxx@xx.xxx) prior to any leave without pay to understand impact on benefits and learn about other points to consider.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Death During Employment If the Executive dies during the term of employment and has not attained the age of seventy years, the Corporation and/or any third party insurance provided by the Corporation, through a coordination of benefits, shall pay the estate of the Executive a death benefit equal to two times the Executive's annual salary. In the event the Executive receives death benefits payable under any group life insurance policy issued to the Corporation, the Corporation's liability under this clause will be reduced by the amount of the death benefit paid under such policy. The Corporation shall pay any remaining death benefits to the estate of the Executive over the course of twelve (12) months in the same manner and under the same terms as the Executive would have been paid if he had still been working for the Corporation. No later than one (1) month from the date of death, the estate of the Executive will also be paid any accumulated vacation pay. Such payments pursuant to this paragraph shall constitute the full compensation of said Executive and he and his estate shall have no further claim for compensation by reason of his employment by the Corporation.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave For each month of a fiscal year in which an employee receives ten (10) days pay, he shall earn vacation leave at the following rates:
