Common use of Required Training Clause in Contracts

Required Training. A teacher may be required by the principal to participate in in-service training or course work at college or university level when, in the judgment of the principal, such training or education will assist the teacher to be more effective in his/her classroom or adjunct responsibilities. In-service or college units earned may be used as part of the requirements for training class advancement on the salary schedule. This requirement may not exceed the equivalent of three semester units in any three-year period.
