Common use of Required Work on Holidays Clause in Contracts

Required Work on Holidays. In the event any employee is required to work on any paid holiday, the employee shall receive their regular pay plus their holiday pay. Exceptions to this provision are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Employees required to work on one of these days shall receive holiday pay plus twice their regular rate of pay for all hours worked.
