Responsibilities and Rights of the Employee Sample Clauses

Responsibilities and Rights of the Employee. 27.2.1 All employees are expected to abide by the terms of their contract of employment, particularly in regard to work performance and individual conduct. However when employees are not working in a correct manner or fail to adhere to normal standards of behaviour, remedial action needs to be taken to assist the employee in rectifying any misunderstanding or apparent shortcomings. When this is necessary an employee has certain intrinsic rights which should be observed at all times. These can be best summarised as: being made aware of the full facts ˜delegate representation (if required) ˜given the opportunity to offer an explanation ˜not have any discipline action predetermined ˜where necessary to have mitigating circumstances and employment record taken into account ˜to have the matter documented
