Common use of Rest Pause Clause in Contracts

Rest Pause. 27.1 Where practicable, all employees shall be entitled to two 10 minute paid rest pauses to be taken in such a way that the ordinary working day is broken up into 4 approximately equal working periods (including the unpaid meal break).

An Employee may elect to take a second rest pause subject to the first and second pauses not exceeding 20 minutes when combined. The rest pause(s) shall be taken at the election of the Employee at such times as will not interfere with continuity of work where continuity is necessary.
