Higher Duties Payment. An employee who is called upon to perform work at a level above their current classified level for a period of more than two days, shall be paid at the minimum rate prescribed for that higher level for the whole period involved on such higher level duties.

Higher Duties Payment a) An employee who is called upon to perform work at a Level above their current classified Level for a period of more than one day, will be paid at the minimum rate prescribed for that higher Level for the whole period involved on such higher Level duties. b) Where higher duties are available due to the temporary absence of the person who usually holds that position, all things being equal, preference shall be given to permanent staff over casual staff to undertake the higher duties. Staff who are performing higher duties will be paid at the first pay point (increment) of the classification level of the position being temporarily filled, except in circumstances where an employee has previously relieved at that classification level, in which case, all previous service at that level will be recognised for the purposes of determining the increment level. At the time the offer to work the higher level duties is made, the employer shall confirm the level and pay rate that will be applicable for the duration that the employee works the higher duties. The higher duties are to be accepted or declined at the employee’s discretion and a written record shall be kept at the workplace by the employer. Where an offer to work higher duties extends beyond 12 weeks, a new temporary contract is to be formalised and agreed between the employer and employee. At the expiration of the temporary contract, the employee shall revert back to their previous employment contract unless otherwise agreed.

For periods of less than four (4) hours; the higher duties payment will not be paid and will be considered as career development. c. (b) Where an employee, who is classified below the Senior Trade Planner Level 2, is temporarily appointed to cover Team Lead duties; (i) For a period equal to or less than 5 consecutive working days, they will receive a rate equivalent to the Senior Trade Planner Level 2 classification for the duration of the temporary appointment; (ii) For a period in excess of 5 consecutive working days, the employee will receive a rate equivalent to the Team Lead classification for the duration of the temporary appointment. (c) Duties that form part of the Team Lead role that an employee would be temporarily appointed to cover include: (i) Supervision and coordination of Trade Planners to ensure agreed work pack schedules are maintained for Production and Projects in line with safely on time requirements; (ii) Main point of contact for trade planning enquiries; (iii) Assist the Trade Planning Manager to resolve general issues, conflicts in priorities and the revision of work schedules to accommodate customer requirements; (iv) Engage with stakeholders and provide direct support to allocated maintenance activities; (v) Ensure prioritisation of work in accordance with maintenance activity requirements. (i.e. OPM and Boat Maintenance Periods); and (vi) Management of resources to meet operational requirements; i.
Higher Duties Payment. An employee appointed to a role with higher responsibilities, such as a Leading Hand or acting Supervisor, will be paid the following additional fortnightly amounts for each shift worked in such a role. The appointment and continued appointment to these roles is at the discretion of the Company and will be by agreement with the employee. If such employee is to perform work on day shift for a period of more than one day, the second day and any consecutive day that work is performed on day shift shall be paid at the rate of a shift worker and shall be constant with the stop/start shift of their rostered day shift.

Higher Duties Payment. Where any person on any one day relieves at a higher grade, to which a differential rate fixed by this Agreement is applicable, such person, if employed for more than 4 hours on the grade carrying the higher rate, shall be paid in respect of the whole time during which the employee works on that day at the same rate, which shall be at the highest rate fixed by this Agreement in respect of any such grade of work, and if employed for 4 hours or less on the grade carrying a higher rate, the employee shall be paid at such highest rate for 4 hours. .
Higher Duties Payment. 5.5.1 An employee who is required and directed by the employer to perform the duties of a position with a higher classification for a period in excess of two (2) days shall receive a higher duties allowance. 5.5.2 The level of the allowance to be paid to the employee undertaking the higher duties will be paid to Step 1 of the level that is reflective of the duties and responsibilities undertaken. 5.5.3 The anniversary date of an employee receiving a higher duties payment shall remain the anniversary date for the lower classification position. Advancement shall only be in the classification level of the lower classification position. 5.5.4 In the event an employee undertakes higher duties continuously for at least one year, then the employee shall (subject to clause 5.5) advance within the classification level of the higher classification position. 5.5.5 The higher duties allowance shall be paid from the point at which the employee begins undertaking higher duties until such time as the duties are no longer undertaken. At a point where the higher duties are no longer undertaken, the employee shall resume remuneration at the employee’s substantive classified level; the years of service at the higher duties shall be recognised in determining the payment step within the substantive classification level. The employee’s anniversary date for incremental purposes shall be amended appropriately.
Higher Duties Payment a) An employee who is called upon to perform work at a Level above their current Classification Level for a period of more than one (1 week), shall be paid at the minimum 'Agreement' hourly rate prescribed for that higher level for the whole period involved on such higher level duties, provided that it is at the first Pay Point of the higher Level. b) When an employee is called upon to temporarily act as the Administration Manager (a position not covered by this Enterprise Agreement) for one (1) week or more, they will receive a Higher Duties Allowance equivalent to 8% of their hourly rate in their current role for the duration of the acting period. This allowance does not attract overtime or penalties during the acting period. All other terms of this Enterprise Agreement continue to apply for the duration of the acting period.
