Common use of Rest Period - Public Holidays and Sundays Clause in Contracts

Rest Period - Public Holidays and Sundays. An employee, other than a casual employee, not engaged in continuous work who works on a Sunday or a public holiday and (except for meal breaks) immediately thereafter continues such work shall, on being relieved from duty, be entitled to be absent until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without deduction of pay for ordinary time of duty occurring during such absence.

An employee, :  other than a casual employee, who is not engaged in on continuous work shift;  but who works on a Sunday or a public holiday and (except for meal breaks) immediately thereafter continues such work shallPublic Holiday; will, on after being relieved from dutywork, be entitled to be absent until they have the employee has had 10 ten (10) consecutive hours off duty without deduction duty. There will be no loss of pay for ordinary time of duty occurring during such absence.
