Common use of Return from Leave Clause in Contracts

Return from Leave. The teacher shall submit written confirmation of the intent to return from leave by February 1 or December 1 for leaves scheduled to end with the following semester. Upon returning from such leave, the teacher shall be placed on the salary schedule and seniority list at the same position he/she would have been had he/she taught in the district during the period, and the teacher shall be returned to his/her former position, seniority permitting, if the position still exists, or to a mutually agreed upon position.
