Common use of Rights Upon Recall Clause in Contracts

Rights Upon Recall. Recalled employees will return to employment on a date specified by the Employer without loss of previously frozen seniority, accumulated leave and other benefits accrued prior to layoff. No laid off employee shall gain such benefits during the layoff period unless otherwise provided in this Agreement. In the event that an employee is unable to return to work due to illness or other emergency, his/her recall shall be extended up to an additional thirty (30) calendar days.
