You should further note that even professionally developed and/or certified software – which is deployed on the 1T Platform or which you may use to access the 1T Platform (such as your internet browser) – may have vulnerabilities that are neither known by its developers nor its users and thus be subject to hacks or attacks. 1T Netherlands uses custom security certificates issued by third parties (certificate authorities) that will be displayed in certain certified browsers (such as Google Chrome) and that are widely regarded as a security enhancing feature but ultimately cannot guarantee that the security certificates displayed on any of the 1T Platform are valid or correct. Always keeping your mobile application, your internet browser and the underlying operating systems up to date helps to mitigate certain risks and vulnerabilities; but even if a specific security issue is known, it may take a certain period of time until such vulnerability will be addressed and a corresponding software update is available.
