Rostered Days Off (RDO. It is the responsibility of management to ensure that staff are working the required hours to accrue a leisure day off. 9.4.4 An employee may, on a case by case basis, take a set RDO/LDO at a different time, providing satisfactory arrangements have been made with the employee‟s respective supervisor/manager/director. 9.4.5 No more than two RDO‟s/LDO‟s can be accrued at any one time. If an employee has more than two RDO/LDO‟s accrued the supervisor/manager/director can direct the employee to use the extra accrued leave, subject to the operational requirements of the City. If it is not convenient to the employer for the employee to use the extra accrued leave, the employee will be paid out the extra accrued leave at their ordinary pay rate.

Rostered Days Off (RDO. Leisure a) Unless varied in accordance with Clause 19, Employees shall work 8-hour days (40- hour weeks) and accrue 4 hours per week to achieve 2 rostered days off per 4-week cycle.
b) RDOs are paid at the ordinary time rate paid to Employees at the time of taking the RDO.
c) For clarity, 26 RDOs shall be accrued by an Employee in each twelve months continuous service.
d) No Employee shall accrue RDO’s when on leave without pay.
e) Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of two weeks will be a day worked for accrual purposes.
f) Upon commencement of employment, Employees who have not worked a complete ten day/two-week cycle, shall receive pro-rata accrual entitlements for the first RDO or group of RDOs falling after their commencement of employment. Thereafter, for the duration of employment with that employer, RDOs will be paid in full as they occur.
g) The agreed RDO calendar for the Employer (unless otherwise varied in accordance with this Agreement) is in Schedule H and reflects the agreed scheduling of Designated Long Weekends, Flexible Rostered Days Off, Scheduled Rostered Days Off (LDO)and Christmas/Easter Annual Leave shutdown for 2024, 2025.
9.4.1 h) On the last day of work prior to a Designated Long Weekend, as far as practical, work shall cease by 3.30pm.
i) The Company and its Employees working an average may agree, where there is a need for genuine operational reasons, work may be carried out on Scheduled RDO/ Designated Long Weekends if the Company first consults with and agrees about the need to carry out work with the majority of 152 (38 hoursthe Affected Trades. As far as practical given operational requirements, the Company will give employees at least 7 days' written notice of any such need for work to occur so as to ensure appropriate consultation. Such requirements must be based on genuine circumstances.

(ii) the number of scheduled RDOs worked by the Employee within the previous six weeks;
(iii) the Employee's family responsibilities; and
(iv) any other special circumstances peculiar to the Employee.
9.4.2 LDO/k) Except on Designated Long Weekends, in addition to accrued entitlements, such work that is not attached to a Designated Long Weekend and where notice is given in accordance with clause 20 (i) shall be paid for at the ordinary time rates of pay, including the daily 'Fares & Travelling Allowance' and any applicable allowances as prescribed by this Agreement.
l) On Designated Long Weekends, in addition to accrued entitlements, such work shall be paid for at the rate of 250 percent of ordinary time rates of pay including the daily 'Fares & Travelling Allowance' and any applicable allowances as prescribed by this Agreement and the Employee shall bank an additional RDO over and above the time accrued.
m) RDO's may be banked to a maximum of five (5) days in any 12-month period. Once five RDO’s have been banked these must be taken prior to Annual leave being approved. These RDO's may be taken as a group of consecutive days or any other Combination subject to notice by an Employee. If an Employee has more than 5 days of RDO's banked, the Company can insist on them being taken.
n) Where a single RDO is requested, an Employee will apply provide forty-eight (48) hours’ notice. If the notice is given the employee must be released to have the day off.
o) Where a Company seeks to direct an employee to have an RDO in accordance with clause 20 (l) the following manner; Personal (Sick & FamilyCompany must give the employee 48 hours’ notice.

9.4.3 The RDO/LDO Where more than one accrued RDO is to be taken at a set time each four week period that meets the operational requirements of the City. It is the responsibility of management to ensure that staff are on consecutive working the required hours to accrue a leisure day offdays an Employee will provide one weeks’ notice.
9.4.4 An employee may, on a case by case basis, take a set RDO/LDO at a different time, providing satisfactory arrangements have been made with q) Any disputes arising from this clause shall be resolved through the employee‟s respective supervisor/manager/directordispute settlement procedure of this Agreement.
9.4.5 No more than two RDO‟s/LDO‟s can be accrued at any one time. If an employee has more than two RDO/LDO‟s accrued the supervisor/manager/director can direct the employee to use the extra accrued leaver) Upon termination of employment, subject to the operational requirements of the City. 9.4.4 An employee may, on a case in lieu will be selected by case basis, take a set RDO/LDO at a different time, providing satisfactory arrangements have been made with the employee‟s respective supervisor/manager/director.
9.4.5 No more than two RDO‟s/LDO‟s can be accrued at any one time. If an employee has more than two RDO/LDO‟s accrued the supervisor/manager/director can direct the employee to use the extra accrued leave, subject provided that at least one week’s notice is given to the operational requirements of the City. If it is not convenient to the employer for the employee to use the extra accrued leave, Company; and · the employee will be allowed this day off unless the operations of the mine will be affected by the absence, OR overtime rates for the time worked during ordinary hours on the rostered day off, without any day off in lieu.
24.3.1 An employee will be paid out overtime rates for all time worked outside or in excess of the extra accrued leave at their ordinary pay ratehours for that day or shift.
24.4 The Company may move the RDO of these employees to another day in the case of:- · a breakdown of machinery; · a failure or shortage of electric power; · meeting the requirements of the mine; or · an emergency situation.
24.4.1 In the case of another day being substituted for the RDO, the new day becomes the RDO and the original day becomes an ordinary working day.
24.5 An individual employee, with the agreement of the Company, may substitute the day the employee is to take off for another day.
24.6 Employees must not be required to work pre-shift overtime when resuming work immediately following a rostered day off. This does not apply to statutory officials whose non-attendance would affect the operations of the mine.

9.4.1 Employees working an average of 152 (38 hours) 37.1 Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require a full-time employee to work ordinary hours or 140 (35 hours) hours per 4 week cycle respectively in such a way that the employee will accrue one become entitled to a Rostered Day Off ("RDO") / Leisure Day Off in accordance with the provisions of this clause.
37.2 Subject to clause 36 above, an RDO may be accrued by an employee working 8 ordinary hours per day for each of 19 days over a continuous 4-week cycle.
37.3 An employee shall take an RDO at a time agreed between Boral Recycling and the employee having regard to the needs of the business. Where such agreement cannot be reached, Boral Recycling may direct an employee to take an RDO on the provision of seven (LDO)7) days' notice.
37.4 At the employee's request, Boral Recycling may agree to cash out an employee's accrued RDO entitlements at any time throughout the year. To accrue XXX's will be cashed out at the employee's ordinary time towards rate. Where RDOs are cashed out the employee's RDO/LDO employees are required 's balance will be reduced accordingly.
37.5 Accrued but untaken RDOs shall be paid out to work an employee upon termination of employment.
37.6 Except as otherwise agreed, an employee shall be paid 8 hours or 7 in respect of each RDO accrued and taken. An employee will have no entitlement to an RDO unless they have a minimum of 7.6 hours 22 minutes per dayin their RDO bank at the time of taking the RDO.
9.4.2 LDO/RDO time will apply 37.7 Despite any other provision of this Agreement, Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require an employee to take RDO's, including accumulated RDO's, during a close down period or down turn period in the following manner; Personal (Sick & Family) Leave Long Service Leave Public Holiday Bereavement/Compassionate Leave RDO/LDO Unpaid Leave Jury Duty Leave Phased in Retirement Leave Study Leave Maternity/Paternity Leave Workers Compensation Salary Continuance
9.4.3 The RDO/LDO is to be taken at a set time each four week period business, provided that meets Boral Recycling gives the operational requirements employee 28 days' notice of the City. It is the responsibility of management to ensure that staff are working the required hours to accrue a leisure day off.
9.4.4 An employee may, on a case by case basis, take a set RDO/LDO at a different time, providing satisfactory arrangements have been made with the employee‟s respective supervisor/manager/director.
9.4.5 No more than two RDO‟s/LDO‟s can be accrued at any one time. If an employee has more than two RDO/LDO‟s accrued the supervisor/manager/director can direct the employee requirement to use the extra accrued leave, subject to the operational requirements RDOs.
37.8 Each day of the City. If it is not convenient to the employer paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of four (4) weeks will be regarded as a day worked for the employee to use the extra accrued leave, the employee will be paid out the extra accrued leave at their ordinary pay ratepurposes of accruing an RDO.

9.4.4 An 6.3 Once the date of a RDO has been agreed upon, the date may not change unless the employer and employee may, agree to change the date to a date that is mutually acceptable. 9.4.5 not less than two weeks in advance and not more than twelve months. No more than two RDO‟s/LDO‟s three months worth of RDO's can be banked or accrued at any one time, unless mutually agreed by the parties.
6.4 An employee who chooses to be paid for all hours worked each week will be allowed to take a day off without pay or take annual leave on the four days allotted after long weekends.
6.5 RDO's may be taken or banked as they accrue. If an employee has They can be taken in blocks (for example three days can be taken one week off) or added to holiday periods as mutually agreed by the parties.
6.6 No more than two RDO/LDO‟s accrued three employees can have the supervisor/manager/director can direct the employee to use the extra accrued leave, subject to the operational requirements of the City. If it is not convenient to the employer same day off except for the four days allotted after a long-weekend unless the parties agree. The first three employees who make the request will be the three employees that have their RDO’s approved for those days requested.
6.7 An employee is entitled to use 12 RDO’s per year, 6 of which are to be taken on the extra accrued leave, dates programmed by the employee Company. Any variation to a programmed RDO must be authorised by the Company. The remaining RDOs and any other arranged RDOs not taken during the year will be paid out at the extra accrued leave ordinary rate of pay at their ordinary pay ratethe end of each year.
