Safety Clothing and Tool Replacement Sample Clauses

Safety Clothing and Tool Replacement. The District shall supply clothing and equipment necessary for employee safety or otherwise mandated by law. If an employee's clothing is damaged in the performance of a special task, the employee may request reimbursement to their supervisor. If the employee does not agree with the immediate supervisor's decision, the decision may be appealed to the Superintendent or their designee. The decision from this appeal is not subject to the grievance procedure. If an employee damages any personal tools approved by the supervisor to be regularly used at work that are normally unavailable within the District's supplies, the employee shall be reimbursed for purchase of an identical or substantially similar tool.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • Procurement of Small Works Works estimated to cost $75,000 equivalent or more but less than $250,000 equivalent per contract, up to an aggregate amount not to exceed $2,300,000 equivalent, may be procured under lump-sum, fixed-price contracts awarded on the basis of quotations obtained from five (5) qualified domestic contractors in response to a written invitation. The invitation shall include a detailed description of the works, including basic specifications, the required completion date, a basic form of agreement acceptable to the Bank, and relevant drawings, where applicable. The award shall be made to the contractor who offers the lowest price quotation for the required work, and who has the experience and resources to complete the contract successfully.
