SCHOOL CALENDAR – WORK YEAR – WORK DAY. A. Adoption of Academic Calendar There shall be informal discussion between the Association and the administration concerning the adoption of the academic calendar. These suggestions will be presented to the Board for final approval. The Superintendent of Schools shall arrange informal discussions between the administration and two (2) representative faculty members from each school selected yearly by each principal to discuss items related to the school calendar, after they have consulted with the unit members within the school. The above committee shall also include the Association President and one (1) other unit member chosen by the Association. If the Board is contemplating a change in the school calendar then a committee for the Board will first meet with the Association prior to implementation of the change.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • REGULAR WORK YEAR 1. The annual salary established for employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall be payable in respect of the employees’ regular work year. The regular work year shall be the regular school year as established by the Board and shall not exceed one hundred and ninety-five (195) days in session per school year.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Regular Work Day Unless agreed upon by the City and the Association as set forth below under the heading “Alternate Work Schedule”, a regular workday is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours of work completed within not more than twenty-four

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • TEACHER WORK YEAR 6.1.1 Mapleton Public Schools and the Mapleton Education Association believe the teaching profession is demanding and rewarding, requiring time and commitments beyond contractual work hours. We further assert that the people involved in this profession are committed to the interest and lives of the students we serve. We acknowledge that maintaining a balance in personal and professional lives is essential to the health and well-being of all.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Basic Work Year The regular work year shall be prescribed by the School District each year for regular employees.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
