Back to School Night. All bargaining unit members may be required annually to attend one (1) back-to-school night. With sufficient reasons, an employee may be released from attendance of this activity with prior approval of the principal. Such employee shall participate in a similar type activity within the school year as mutually agreed upon by the employee and the principal. High schools on a 4x4 block schedule may plan a second back-to-school night. Employees who volunteer to attend shall be compensated for three (3) hours at their hourly rate. Should the employee and principal fail to reach agreement by January 31st, the matter shall proceed to the Chief School Performance & Accountability Officer for final determination. The Chief School Performance & Accountability Officer’s decision is exempt from all provisions of Article Thirty-Four.
Back to School Night. The parties agree that during the month of September of each year, there shall be a Back-to-School Night at the middle school and the elementary schools, said day at each level to be an early-release day for students and teachers. The Back-to-School Night will contain both general curriculum and social elements, as to which the Administration will promulgate appropriate guidelines. Each Back-to-School Night will be a minimum of two (2) hour duration. Teacher attendance is mandatory.

Back to School Night. In order to provide time to prepare for Back to School Night, the Board agrees to close schools at the end of a four (4) hour session on the day of Back to School Night. This provision shall not affect the regularly scheduled workday for Paraprofessionals and secretaries.
Back to School Night. A. Back-to-School Night shall be held annually in late September or early October in each school to explain the educational objectives of each class to parents and guardians. All teachers are expected to attend. Back-To-School Night shall start at 7:15 p.m. and end no later than 8:30 p.m.

Back to School Night. All teachers shall be required to attend Back-to-School Night as scheduled by the Board. The Board may schedule Back-to-School Night on two (2) separate evenings, one for the elementary grades and one for the middle school including special subjects teachers. No teacher shall be required to attend both Back-to-School nights. Teachers shall work a minimum day as defined by N.J.A.C. 6A:32-8.3 on the day designated for the elementary grades’ Back-to-School Night.
Back to School Night. On a day when a Back to School Night is scheduled in a school, all teachers and Aides shall be allowed to leave ten (10) minutes after the students’ dismissal. Students shall be scheduled for four (4) hours on that day, if lunch is not served and for four and one-half (4 1/2) hours, if lunch is served.
Back to School Night. 1. All professional staff members shall participate in one (1) "Back To School" night each year from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM.
