School Improvement. The Board, Administration, Teachers and Association recognize the necessity of maintaining ongoing district-wide improvement plans and importance of continued recognition of quality educational services as a fundamental priority and shared goal of the parties. The Board recognizes that the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement shall not be altered or modified through the school improvement process, without written mutual agreement and ratification by the parties. To the extent any proposed element of the District’s school improvement plan conflicts with the terms of the master agreement, the identified provisions will be subject to renegotiations at the request of the Board. Any amendments to the agreement will be subject to ratification by the parties. The involvement of teachers in school improvement planning shall be voluntary and shall not require additional compensation.
