Section 8.7.1. Upon completion of the first (1st) year of service with the District, each two hundred twenty 13 (220) day employee shall be granted seven (7) workdays paid vacation per year. Upon 14 completion of the fifth (5th) year of service, each two hundred twenty (220) day employee shall 15 be granted one (1) paid vacation day for each year of service, to a maximum of fourteen (14) 16 days paid vacation per year. Notification requirements and operational needs of the District of 17 Section 8.7. shall apply.
Section 8.7.1. 21 When employees work additional time or assignments in their own general job classification, 22 they shall be compensated at no less than their regular rate of pay. Additional time or 23 assignments will first be offered to employees at the work site. A substitute may be assigned 24 to the position at the substitute rate when no regular employee is available.

Section 8.7.1. Failure by an employee to meet state or federal mandated requirements by the set deadline will 3 result in termination of employment with Walla Walla Public Schools. If an employee is 4 terminated under the Section, he/she will be allowed to enter the employment pool for other 5 open positions, but will lose all seniority rights for employment in the same bargaining unit.
Section 8.7.1. If a leave of absence is requested due to an industrial accident or industrial illness, it shall be granted for a period of up to one (1) year. An employee may be granted a leave of absence for other reasons for a period not to exceed one (1) year upon recommendation of the immediate supervisor through administrative channels to the Superintendent and upon approval of the Board of Directors. If either of the above leave is granted due to an extended illness or injury, one (1) additional year may be granted at the discretion of the District.

  • Section 6.2 13 The Association representatives may represent the Association and employees in meeting with officials 14 of the District to discuss appropriate matters of mutual interest. They may receive and investigate to 15 conclusion complaints or grievances of employees on District time and thereafter advise employees of 16 rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable regulations or directives for resolving 17 the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to advise the employee on courses of 18 action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a grievance. This does not, however, 19 preclude the Association's right to pursue the matter to conclusion. They may consult with the District 20 on complaints without a grievance being made by an individual employee.
