Section Provisions for. Any medical examination required by the Company and/or Federal legislation, or any medical examination required by Provincial legislation for the purpose of maintaining a driver's licence shall be promptly complied with by all employees, provided, however, that the Company shall pay for all such examinations. The Company reserves the right to select their own medical examiner or physician and the Union may, if in their opinion they think an injustice has been done an employee, have said employee re-examined at the Union's expense.

Should an employee elect to have his driving license medical examination performed at a fee in excess of this amount, such excess fee will be the responsibility of the employee. Wherever possible, any medical examination required by the Company must be taken during the employee’s normal working hours, and in all such cases, the employee will be given a minimum of one day’s notice and will be paid for the time involved and thus not lose any pay as a result of his taking such medical examination. If a medical examination must be taken outside normal working hours, the employee will be given a minimum of three (3) days’ notice and shall be paid ten dollars ($10.00). If travel outside the municipal boundary of the city of Woodstock is required, a flat amount of will be paid to the employee, The provisions of Section do not apply to No employee shall be required to take a medical examination on a Saturday unless the employee so requests and does so voluntarily. Any office employee, cleared to return to his regular duties by his doctor shall be allowed to do so upon receipt of medical documentation. This shall not restrict the Company’s ability to exercise their rights under section a).
