Common use of Seniority Frozen Clause in Contracts

Seniority Frozen. Seniority shall be frozen for a bargaining unit member upon transfer to a non-bargaining unit position within the North Muskegon Public Schools or upon taking an unpaid leave of absence in excess of thirty (30) calendar days. If that bargaining unit member later returns to a bargaining unit position, they shall pick up their seniority from where it was frozen when they left the bargaining unit. No seniority shall be given for the time they worked in the non-unit position.
