Seniority Retention. An employee whose employment has not been terminated by resignation, discharge or death, and whose seniority has not been lost under the terms of this Agreement will retain, but not accrue, unit seniority in these cases: (a) while on an authorized unpaid leave of absence so long as he/she complies with the conditions of such leave; (b) for ninety (90) days subsequent to promotion or assignment to a position not covered by this Agreement; and (c) while on layoff within the time limits specified in Paragraph 30.
