Common use of Shift Changes Clause in Contracts

Shift Changes. When it is necessary to change an employee's shift, twenty-four (24) hours prior notice shall be provided. When shifts are being changed there must be a minimum rest period of nine (9) hours between shifts. When an employee does not receive the minimum rest period, the employee shall be paid at overtime rates of pay for all hours worked on the subsequent shift.
