Shift Differential - Compensation. 5.9.1 Any member of the bargaining unit, whose normally assigned work shift commences between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five percent (5%) above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked. 5.9.2 A unit member who receives a shift differential premium on the basis of the employee’s shift shall suffer no reduction in pay, including differential, when assigned temporarily to a day shift. Differential premium pay shall not be paid when an employee is reassigned to a different schedule during school recess periods.
