Common use of Sick Leave Defined Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Defined. A period of time an employee is absent from work by virtue of being verified sick or disabled by means of a doctor’s certificate, which shall be provided in accordance with Article 14.04(B) and 14.04(C).

Sick Leave Defined. A Sick leave means the period of time an employee Employee is absent from work (if for more than 2 hours) by virtue of being verified sick or disabled disabled, or under examination or treatment by means of a doctor’s certificatephysician, which chiropractor or dentist. When taken ill or incapacitated the Employee shall notify his Supervisor or her/his designate four (4) hours before his/her shift commences if reasonably possible, except for Employees on a morning shift where at least one (1) hours notice will be provided in accordance with Article 14.04(B) and 14.04(C)given.
