Sick Time. The Company shall grant sick leave credits to each employee. SECTION D. In order to receive compensation while absent on sick leave, the employee must notify the Court Administrator/Clerk of the Court within one-half (1/2) hour after the time set for beginning his/her daily duties, with an estimated duration of the leave.
SECTION E. The Chief Judge may require that an employee who reports sick on provide medical data from the employee’s doctor and/or a regular work day personal affidavit stating the equivalent cause of wages he would have earned at his classified rate of pay for his normal hours of work and reduce his the absence whenever sick leave credits by the number of hours that correspond with the number of hours that he would have normally worked. Sick time shall be subject to the following provisions:
(a) Sick leave shall be granted for an employee's personal use only.

SECTION H. An eligible employee will also be paid, provided thatat his/her current rate of pay, for one-half (1/2) of accumulated unused sick leave, if employment is terminated by:
(i) They have not been used for holidays.
(ii) No more than 1. Retirement by voluntary resignation if the employee provides the Chief Judge with at least two (2) days' weeks advanced written notice.
2. In the event of an employee’s death, payment will be made to the employee’s designated beneficiary on one hundred (100%) percent of the employee’s accumulated sick leave.
SECTION I. The Chief Judge reserves the right to require an employee to take an involuntary sick or health leave of absence if the employee suffers from a disability, mental or physical, as shown by medical evidence, which prevents the employee from satisfactorily performing his/her assigned duties. Such disability shall be deemed just cause for the purpose of this Agreement.
SECTION J. If a period of illness lasting more than one day occurs during vacation leave and it is reported immediately, a revised request for leave form may be submitted. The period of time of such illness will be recorded as sick leave credits have been used in that service year for which the extra days are grantedrather than vacation leave.
(iii) Accumulated extra sick time may only be used after the annual six (6) days' sick time has been used up.

Sick Time. The Company shall grant sick leave credits to each employee. These credits shall be granted on the following basis: :
(a) At the beginning of each service year with the Company, an employee will receive credit for fortyfifty-eight six (4856) hours' sick leave to apply to the service year which is just commencing. Before reaching an anniversary date at which sick time will be received, an employee will receive during the interim period period, sick leave credits credit based on four point seven (44.7) hours per month which will be accumulative to a maximum of fortyfifty-eight six (4856) hours. A new employee shall not receive sick leave credits until he has been in the employ of the Company for sixty (60) calendar days. .
(b) The Company shall, to the extent that sick leave credits are available, pay to an employee who reports sick on a regular work day the equivalent of the wages he would have earned at his classified rate of pay for his normal hours of work and reduce his sick leave credits by the number of hours that correspond with the number of hours that he would have normally worked. .
(c) Sick time shall be subject to the following provisions:
(ai) Sick leave shall be granted for an employee's personal use only.
(bii) An employee who reports sick during any day will have his sick leave allotment reduced by the number of hours not worked during the that day.
(ciii) Sick time is not to be used for any purpose other than legitimate illness. If an employee requires time off for dental or other appointments, he should make special arrangements with the exception that unused sick days may be added to an employee's annual holiday; up to four (4) days per yearhis xxxxxxx.
(div) All absence due to illness of a duration of more than three (3) consecutive scheduled work days shall require a doctor's certificate to an employee's department manager.
(ev) It is the responsibility of an employee to immediately notify his department supervisor of absence due to illness. If there is no notification, absence may be considered absence without pay.
(fvi) A committee of three (3) comprising comprised of an employee's supervisor, department manager and a Business Representative of the Union, shall rule on any contingencies not covered by these provisions.
(gvii) In computing time served with the Company for purposes the purpose of determining eligibility for sick time with pay, it will be governed by an employee's commencement date with the Company.
(hviii) Two Three (23) days unused sick time per service year may be accumulated up to a maximum of twelve fifteen (1215) extra days sick time, time provided that:
(i) They have not been used for holidays.
(ii) No more than two (2) days' sick leave credits have been used in that service year for which the extra days are granted.
(iii) Accumulated accumulated extra sick time may only be used after the annual six nine (69) days' days sick time has been used up.
(ix) Fifty percent (50%) of the unused portion of an employee's sick time after deducting accumulated times carried forward, shall be paid out on the first pay day in December of each calendar year or upon severance or retirement at the employee's rate of pay then in effect to a maximum of twenty-four (24) hours.

2. Each employee during the first calendar year of employment is entitled to one (1) working day of sick days may leave for each month of service. After one (1) year employees shall be added entitled to an employee's annual holiday; up to four fifteen (415) days sick leave per year.

6. Any employee who terminates his/her employment with the Township or whose employment is terminated by the Township shall be entitled to sick time on a prorated basis for the specific calendar year in which termination occurs. If an employee has been used uptaken more than prorated entitlement, the Township shall deduct the value of the time taken from the employee’s final pay. The employee will not be paid for unused sick time upon termination, whether from the current year or past years.
7. An employee shall, upon retirement, be reimbursed by the Township in a cash payment for sick leave, which was accrued after January 1, 1978. This reimbursement shall be at the rate of 25% of the employee’s highest daily base salary at the time of retirement. For employees who began their employment before January 1, 1978, any sick time taken from January 1, 1978 until retirement shall be assessed to those days accrued prior to January 1, 1978.
8. Sick time will not accrue during periods of unpaid leaves of absence or suspensions.

8. On the anniversary date of the collective agreement, employees will have the following options with regard to their remaining sick time bank:
(a) Carry forward remaining sick time bank as per Appendix "B", B.06 Sick Time.
(b) Pay out remaining sick time bank at 80% of the value.
(c) Pay out remaining sick time bank at 80% of the value and employer to remit to employee's pension plan. Employees will advise payroll in writing (form to be supplied by employer) of their option by the contract anniversary date each year.
9. Upon retirement employees will have the following options with regard to their remaining sick time bank:
(a) Pay out of remaining sick time bank at 80% of the value.
(b) Pay out of remaining sick time bank at 80% of the value and employer to remit to employee's pension plan.
10. To the extent that they are available, sick leave credits up to a maximum of five (5) days will be used prior to going on Weekly Indemnity.
