Sign Language Pay. Employees possessing sign language skills may register with the Human Resources Department and be called to use those skills on an on-call basis. Employees who are called shall be paid $20 per occurrence while on City time and $30 per occurrence when not on City time.

Sign Language Pay. Any qualified employee who is covered by the provisions of this MOU and is requested by the Department Personnel Officer to utilize sign language shall receive compensation equal to the first premium level rate above the appropriate step rate of the salary range prescribed for his/her classification for each business day the skill is used. Such practices of additional compensation shall be in accordance with Section 4.84.1 of the LAAC. Additional compensation is non-pensionable.
Sign Language Pay. Any qualified employee, who is covered by the provisions of this MOU who has been certified as proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) to provide City services to the deaf community and is requested by the employing department to utilize ASL skills in the performance of the employee’s job duties, shall receive additional compensation equal to the first premium level rate (2.75%) above the employee’s step rate of the salary range prescribed for the employee’s class for each business day the skill is used. Such practices MOU37-21 of additional compensation shall be in accordance with Section 4.84.1 (Premium Pay for Persons Possessing Sign Language Skills) of the LAAC. This compensation is non- pensionable.

  • Suggested Language The regulation at 29 C.F.R. § 5.5(b) provides contract clause language concerning compliance with the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. FEMA suggests including the following contract clause:

  • English Language Learners The Charter School shall comply with all applicable federal laws and regulations relating to the provision of educational services to English Language Learners.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • English Language (a) Any notice given under or in connection with any Finance Document must be in English. (b) All other documents provided under or in connection with any Finance Document must be: (i) in English; or (ii) if not in English, and if so required by the Agent, accompanied by a certified English translation and, in this case, the English translation will prevail unless the document is a constitutional, statutory or other official document.
