Common use of Sole Arbitrator Clause in Contracts

Sole Arbitrator. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this Article, the Employer and the Union may mutually agree in writing to the appointment of a single Arbitrator satisfactory to both parties in which case, such Arbitrator shall have the same jurisdiction, power and authority as has been given to the Arbitration Board by the foregoing terms of this Article.

Sole Arbitrator.
