Special Assignment. Limitations On Shift Selection Persons with less than one (1) year seniority shall not have choice of shift. Shift selection shall not apply to persons assigned by the Sheriff to detective positions or special assignments. Additionally, specific tasks or projects may be made without regard to Section 13.1 for a period not to exceed one year. If such special tasks or projects must exceed one year, the Employer will notify the Union and discuss the extension, if the Union requests.
