Insurance While on Leave. All insurance will continue as long as a Licensed Educational Interpreter is on paid sick leave.
Insurance While on Leave. Waukegan Professional Support Staff on an unpaid leave of absence may, at their own option and upon payment of the appropriate premium, continue to be covered under Board sponsored group insurance plans.
Insurance While on Leave. Employees on unpaid leaves of absence may continue their insurance coverage at their own expense as long as they comply with the Division's carriers' requirements.
Insurance While on Leave. An employee on leave shall be afforded the opportunity to continue payment towards insurance programs if they choose to do so. In order for benefits to be maintained during leave, the employee must pay the regular payroll deduction amount in order for the Board to continue to pay the Board’s contribution to this program for the first four months of personal illness leave. The Board will continue to pay the Board’s contribution to this program for the first nine months of worker’s compensation leave if the employee pays their regular payroll deduction.

Teachers on leave of absence shall have the privilege of continuing such group health, life, dental, and vision insurance coverage as are available in the District at their own expense and shall pay the full premium at the group rate, except as otherwise provided for exchange teaching, sabbatical, or family and medical leave (FMLA) under Article IX.
Insurance While on Leave. The Employee shall have the option of paying the full premium for insurance benefits while on leave.
Insurance While on Leave. Any bargaining unit member on an approved leave under the provisions of this contract or on the reduction in force list shall be entitled to maintain any or all of the insurance benefits offered by the Board to bargaining unit members by transmitting payment for the applicable insurance premiums to the Treasurer of the District by the 25th day of the preceding month for which the insurance benefits are wanted. The member shall pay no more than the amount of the premium paid by the Board for the same benefit coverage.
Insurance While on Leave. Unit members on leave in accordance with the provisions of this contract shall be continuously covered by the insurance benefits provided by this contract for the period of the leave up to six (6) months, except as otherwise provided in this contract. The unit member, however, continues to be responsible for his/her monthly health care contribution as stated in Article XIV. Should the employee's monthly contribution not be deducted by paycheck, the employee must provide an advanced full payment of the monthly contribution to the Treasurer on or before the first of each month to continue health insurance coverage. Failure to provide said payment will result in loss of coverage. This does not negate the Board's responsibilities under COBRA.
Insurance While on Leave. All professional staff employees while on an approved leave of absence without pay may at their option continue their group insurance coverage by making the appropriate payments to the District to cover all premium costs required by the carrier to maintain group coverage rates for the professional staff member on leave. Insurance premiums must be paid in advance to maintain coverage.

IMPLEMENTATION/EXPIRATION: Effective August 16, 2006, a Severance Buy-Out Plan will be implemented for members of the STRS certified teaching staff within the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District. Teachers with 30 years or more during the 2006/07 school year have a one year window to participate in the Severance Buy Out Plan. Thereafter a teacher is only eligible during their 30th year of service.
