The Special Work Conditions clause defines unique or non-standard requirements that apply to certain tasks or roles within a contract. No employee shall be required to work a split shift unless it is agreed upon by the employee. Employees who are not scheduled to be on duty under such situations shall not lose pay if the time lost can be rescheduled. In the event schools are closed because of conditions considered to be hazardous to the safety of children (i.e., snow days), the following shall prevail:
