Year: The period of time from the commencement of a school term on or about the day of September of a particular year to the end of the term in the month of June next following. In the event of an impending layoff, the Board shall meet with the Executive of the Association to discuss the implications of the layoff and shall provide the Association with a list of teachers to be laid off, The meeting shall be held no later than the day of April in any school year. The Board shall maintain a seniority list showing the date upon which each teacher’s service commenced and the total length of service for the purpose of determining seniority.
