Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff. If Purchaser fails to do seasonal erosion control work prior to any seasonal period of precipitation or runoff, Forest Service may temporarily assume responsibility for the work and any unencumbered deposits hereunder may be used by Forest Service to do the work. If needed for such work, Purchaser shall make additional deposits on request by Forest Service. Any money deposited or used for this purpose shall be treated as cooperative deposits under B4.218.
341 Prevention of Oil Spills If Purchaser maintains storage facilities for oil or oil products on Sale Area, Purchaser shall take appropriate preventive measures to ensure that any spill of such oil or oil products does not enter any stream or other waters of the United States or any of the individual States. If the total oil or oil products storage exceeds 1,320 gallons in containers of 55 gallons or greater, Purchaser shall prepare a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan. Such plan shall meet applicable EPA requirements (40 CFR 112), including certification by a registered professional engineer. Purchaser shall notify Contracting Officer and appropriate agencies of all reportable (40 CFR 110) spills of oil or oil products on or in the vicinity of Sale Area that are caused by Purchaser’s employees agents, contractors, Subcontractors, or their employees or agents, directly or indirectly, as a result of Purchaser’s Operations. Purchaser will take whatever initial action may be safely accomplished to contain all spills.
Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.
Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention and Control (a) The Hospital in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) shall develop, establish and put into effect, musculoskeletal prevention and control measures, procedures, practices and training for the health and safety of employees.
Erosion and Sediment Control The Contractor shall install and maintain erosion and sediment control devices to prevent adjacent streets, storm drains and property from accumulations of soil, sediment, or dust which result from his work. Devices installed to control sediment and prevent erosion shall comply with the requirements of the Georgia Tech Project Superintendent. The Contractor is responsible for monitoring downstream conditions throughout the construction period and clearing any debris, sediment, and dust caused by the progress of the Work. The Contractor shall inspect, maintain, and clear erosion and sediment control devices at least weekly unless otherwise directed by the Georgia Institute of Technology Construction Manager. At the conclusion of the Work, the Contractor shall remove all installed devices and restoring the site to the satisfaction of the Georgia Tech Construction Manager.
Workplace Violence Prevention A. In order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, the State agrees to develop and implement "Workplace Violence Prevention" policies and programs.
Infection Control Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guideline for Infection Control in Health Care Personnel, and University Policy 3364-109-EH-603, the parties agree that all bargaining unit employees who come in contact with patients in the hospital or ambulatory care clinics will need to be vaccinated against influenza when flu season begins each fall. The influenza vaccine will be offered to all health care workers, including pregnant women, before the influenza season, unless otherwise medically contraindicated or it compromises sincerely held religious beliefs.
EDUCATION/PREVENTION To promote health and safety, information about this policy, and information designed to minimise the harmful use of alcohol and other drugs will be displayed on-site and distributed as appropriate. Education and Prevention 6.1 The policy will be discussed and put forward for adoption on site at a meeting of all workers.
Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually to maintain standards of safety and health in the Hospital in order to prevent accidents, injury, and illness. ected or Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Hospital agrees to accept as a member of its Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee, at least one (1) representative sel appointed by the Union from amongst Bargaining Unit employees. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and means of improving health and safety programs, and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to co-operate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the Committee its functions. Meetings shall be held every second month or more frequently at the call of the Chair if required. The Committee shall maintain minutes of meetings and make the Same available for review. Any representative appointed or accordancewith hereof shall serve for a term of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment which may be renewed for further of one (1) year. Time off for such to attend meetings of the Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee in accordance with the foregoing shall be granted, and any attending such meetings during their regularly scheduled hours of work shall not lose regular as a result of such The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. Safety Shoes The Hospital will provide sixty dollars ($60.00) annually effective April and eighty dollars ($80.00) effective April to each employee who is required by the Hospital, as delineated below, to wear safety footwear during the of his duties. The Hospital will require employees the following functions to wear appropriate Engineering Services; Grounds; Transport; (only where frequently working in storage areas). (as determined by the Hospital) heavy carts on a regular basis, e.g., linen carts, food wagons. ARTICLE BULLETIN BOARDS The Employer shall provide bulletin that all employees will have access to them have the right to post notices of meetings and such other notices as may be of interest to the membership. The wage increase listed on a retroactive to contact,in writing (with a copy to the Union) at their last-known entitle who have left its employ, to advise them of their any retroactive wage adjustment.
