Standard Employment Contract. Staff members receive a base contract for 183 days of work performed during the scheduled workdays on the negotiated work year calendar. This work year calendar includes the 180 student school days, 3 additional workdays, and 21 additional PLE hours (3 days). If the district/principal requires employees to be present beyond the written contract, those who are required to attend shall be compensated on a true per diem rate. All employees shall fulfill their contracted number of days during the regular school calendar, unless otherwise agreed to between the employee and their supervisor. The annual school calendar and any modifications made to the school calendar once approved shall be subject to negotiations. The job requirements for fulfilling basic professional responsibilities are as follows by performing self-directed and scheduled work outside of the traditional workday.
